ANNOUNCEMENT - SENT VIA EMAIL TO ALL STUDENTS 10/2/25
To our dearest Base Yogis, Jules here! :)
Last Friday on socials, I sent a little teaser mentioning we are announcing something significant within our business today, and the wait is finally over!
Our Yoga Studio is MOVING in April to a NEW LOCATION in Berwick!
NEW STUDIO LOCATION, SAME BASE YOGA VIBES!
WHY THE MOVE FROM THE CURRENT LOCATION?
Our rent has been increased by $15,000 THIS YEAR alone (yep, I'm very happy to share that normally confidential business information), not to mention the year on year increases we incur thereafter, which we now simply cannot afford to bare the brunt of. And we will not pass on those ridiculous increases to our community either.
We also only had the final 3 years remaining on our current lease agreement, so I had to decide to commit or not, knowing we need to move at the end of that timeframe too. The uncertainty of finding a different & suitable location to move to thereafter would be too risky and stressful to hold onto for that long.
But excitingly, we have managed to find that new location now, to ensure The Base Yoga will thrive and continue for many years to come.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
Owning a Yoga Studio isn't something that makes a lot of profit. This is my income to support my young family, along side my husband's full time job.
I wouldn't trade owning this studio, after creating this community we all SHARE together, for ANYTHING. But I couldn't possibly keep the business going at the new rent increase.
Truth be told, I've been on the lookout for years, waiting for the right location to become available for our community to move to. I had many requirements & expectations for our new studio and this new space ticks all the boxes.
I've negotiated a strong hold on the new lease & I am extremely happy with the long term permanency of the new location.
I cannot wait to get into the new location shortly to do the fit-out, creating a beautiful, familiar & harmonious place for everyone.
I know you will all love it just as much as myself & my staff already do!
SO WHERE IS THE NEW LOCATION?
Still in BERWICK!
We are a BERWICK mainstay and I will never move from this beautiful suburb we have called home for 8 years as The Base Yoga (and 7 years of Yoga Plus prior - a studio many of us were apart of beforehand.)
That is a beautiful and proud 15 years of this Yoga Studio & community.
WHAT'S THE NEW ADDRESS?
So just for a couple of days, I'm not telling as I want to give people the opportunity to find it within our township ...and WIN a gift card too!

But what I will say is this:
~ We are headed to the other side!
~ Natural light is in abundance!
~Plenty of options for parking!
~ Our new neighbours are all a bit square!

We will let you know exact dates closer to the time, but it will be around mid-April when we open the doors to the new studio for classes.
WILL THE TIMETABLE CHANGE?
Most of the timetable will stay the same - but proudly adding a few more classes!
I'll provide more details about this in time.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY CURRENT M'SHIP/ PASS?
Nothing changes - just more access to more classes!
IS THERE PLENTY OF PARKING?
Yes! More on this when we reveal the exact location, end of week!
Including great lighting at nighttime too.
WHY LAUNCH THE ANNOUNCEMENT THIS EARLY?
This might be a business, however you are all my community. I don't say that lightly. I will often tell you the reasons for most, if not ALL decisions I make within this business.
You might start to see our current Langmore Lane studio on commercialrealestate.com.au & a big FOR LEASE board our front too, and I don't want ANYONE thinking we are closing. WE ARE HERE TO STAY!
WHAT'S ON BEFORE THIS BIG MOVE?
For many members, you know our studio celebrates or birthday annually! And there will be no difference this year.
I will announce our 8th Birthday Event shortly, including the date, the FREE classes on offer, what's included on the day at the studio ie: Membership Discounts and MASSIVE The Base Yoga apparel discounts etc, all ready to use at the new studio the following month onwards.
If there are any questions or concerns in the meantime, please reply to this email directly. Our staff can help answer questions in studio, but feel free to leave them to teaching the classes on the day and ask me anything on here, or next week when I'm back onboard teaching!
Lastly, THANK YOU for your love and support as always. I truly hope you are as excited as we are and I promise I'll make the transition to the new studio as seamless as possible for you all.
