Jade’s first official yoga class was back in 2015 with Jules when The Base Yoga had just begun (in the community centres around the City of Casey!) Through yoga she discovered this incredible awareness of body, breath and mind,
Along with many other benefits that she is certain you will find too. After diving deeper into her yoga practise of Vinyasa and Ashtanga, she decided to fly to India in 2020 and undertake her teacher training in Rishikesh, the “Yoga Capital of the World”.
To Jade, yoga is absolute magic. Not only does it have the physical benefits of more flexibility and strength, it quietens the mind and brings you into the present moment. With your awareness turned inwards, you begin to learn more about the capacities of your body and spend much needed time with the breath. Yoga helps you to find clarity and cultivate some inner peace, which can be experienced on the mat and out in your daily life.
Jade’s passion for yoga has lead her to practise all around the world, from the Upstate New York cabins while she worked at a summer camp, to the beach front café studio on a Philippine island, Palawan, the lush landscapes of Northern NSW and most recently the mountains of Northern India and Nepal. She loves to practise in new environments, connecting with other students and learning from different teachers, contributing to the styles and classes she teaches today. In Jade’s classes you will flow to find your inner strength and vitality, whilst utilising the importance of breath to create stability and space in your postures. Jade encourages you to approach your practise with kindness and a fun and explorative attitude. She believes that through the practise of yoga, we can come back to our natural state of peace, happiness and contentment.
